Producing more than 950,000 litres of milk a year with our herd

The company also produces grain corn, soybeans and forage on the 600 acres of land it owns in the Napierville Gardens Valley.

About Us

The Fleuviale Farm has grown in the last 15 years! She acquired land, quota, “built” a Holstein thoroughbred herd and built a new barn. All this growth has been supported by better processes (computer, technological and/or mechanical improvements) and a deep desire to improve!

Great Cultures

In 2018, the farm grows 230 acres (79ha) of grain corn, 302 acres (103 ha) of soybeans, 23 acres (8ha) of hay and 51 acres (18ha) of corn soiling.

Dairy Production

Feed animals are in indoor free-stalling while dairy cows are attached. Milking is done 3 times a day (since February 2016) with rails milkers in automatic back. To ensure comfort, there are mattresses on the bunks and the crossbar of the cows has been removed to put a chain in it.

In 2018 the farm has a quota of 106kg of mg and has 64 cows in production (average).

Finance

The DAS, the T4, the GST-QST applications, everything is done on the farm with the exception of the tax return. An Excel file was set up in 2000 to maintain accounting books (customer/supplier accounts, cheque printing, etc.) and annual reports (balance sheet, cash flow, earnings statements, farm plan). This data, maintained as a spreadsheet, has a great advantage: that of being able to analyze it according to the needs of managers. Annually, financial statements are provided to financial institutions in detail and accompanied by a financial report by production.
